TED NUGENT:

“ The Nuge” has been creating some of the sickest rock anthems since the ‘60s. Though his non-musical activities often are subject to controversy (right wing beliefs, gun advocacy, appreciation of hunting animals, etc.) he is an exceptional family man and musical icon. He has been a lifelong anti-drugs/anti-drinking rocker and his talent on the guitar is exceptional.

This Detroit rocker was heavily influenced by some of the early British blues rock bands of the ‘60s, but developed a style that eventually evolved into the “arena rock” sound he helped pioneer. Like other acts during the ‘70s, Nugent was all about giving his fans the ultimate concert experience and his live albums captured the energy and charisma of his six-string. Songs like “Cat Scratch Fever” gave way to the caveman persona he often morphed into on stage.

Aside from music, Nugent has participated regularly in politics, hosted a top morning radio show in Detroit, issued his very own camp dedicated towards hunting and produces instructional hunting videos (in addition to the Ted Nugent Spirit of the Wild PBS video series), owns a hunting supply store, is a member of the National Rifle Association’s Board of Directors, writes columns frequently for a number of different publications, and even sells his very own beef jerky (Gonzo Meat Biltong)!! In 2001 he wrote his own autobiography, simply titled God, Guns, & Rock N' Roll.
